| saying goodbye to (part of) our Montgomery small group |
We are living in limbo. During the weeks, we're finishing life in Montgomery: dance recitals, soccer games, school parties, visiting friends. But on the weekends, we're learning what it means to be "Mobilian." Brad's first weekend as a preacher at Dauphin Way in Mobile was a few days ago.
May I brag on my husband? He was made for this job.
May I brag on our new city? I think I like what being "Mobilian" entails.
Brad and I crossed the bridge into Mobile late Friday night. The girls stayed behind with their grandparents. Maybe the luxury of a hotel weekend without children swayed me, but I felt so welcomed. Our new landlords invited us to a block party, church members offered to bring meals when we moved in, and even the live oaks stretched their gnarled arms towards us congenially.
I don't think it will take long to fall in love with this place.

We had a tree canopy in Pensacola and it was always my favorite thing! Love y'all! Many prayers going up for your sweet family from ours.
Thanks so much, Stephanie! I will probably be e-mailing you as soon as I start home schooling. :) I need all of the wisdom you have to offer.
