|The face that launched a thousand
ships… er… one airplane. 🙂
This year, I love the approaching of autumn. Last year, falling leaves and harvest pumpkins made me so mad I could spit. Last year, Amelia was supposed to be home before summer’s end. Yet I found myself wearing jackets, carving pumpkins, ungratefully Thanksgiving, adventing, Christmas and New Years-ing without our precious daughter.
Each one of the milestones that made me weep last year seems like cause for CELEBRATION this year! Long sleeves? Bring them on! Cool air? Love it! Pumkins, turkeys, and manger scenes? You better believe we’ll be celebrating!
And this year, I won’t cry the first time I see one of these:
Peppermint chocolate chip milkshakes might just become the official favorite drink of the Goode family. 🙂 We won’t ever shed a tear over them again. HA!
(To everyone still waiting — on whatever — hang in there. God is IN THE WAIT. You will look back and see His hand in it all. And no, I don’t have this truth down yet, but it is certainly true!)
