Our Paperwork is ROCKING Along!

I just got word from our social worker that our Home Study cleared Alabama's DHR and is now moving along to CIS for approval!  If you aren't familiar with the adoption process, I know that's all hard to understand... Here's what this means:

We can expect approval to adopt within the next 3 months (from CIS).  THEN we'll be able to receive a referral for our child!  The referrall will let us know the age/sex/known health information/etc of our child... and his/her picture!!  Once we accept a referral, we will probably travel just weeks to months after.

Woohoo! Sweet baby of ours, it's getting closer! We love you & hope you're enjoying your last few months in sweet Uganda!

rachel, your blog is such a blessing! I just discovered it last night, and I read it for hours! I stopped reading only because I fell asleep!I just couldn't stop reading! I mean you write so beautifully, and sometimes I would just have tears streaming down my face! God really spoke to me through your blog, and I can't wait to keep reading it! This semester I have just been blown away by Christ's love and how we are his Beloved, and he is ours. And reading some of your posts about this great love and the Holy Spirit, I was just like, yes! yes! That's exactly what he's been teaching me! That He loves us because of who He is, not because of who we are! And his love is perfect! So, thank you for writing, because I thoroughly enjoy it. What a wonderful Woman of God you are! BTW, I am so PUMPED and excited for you and Brad and Caroline! Your going to be a beautiful family of four!
